Meet the artist

I’m Arlene Enns, the artist, and I was born in rural southern Manitoba, Canada, where I still live. Art, music, and creativity in general has always been a significant part of my life.
I began painting in oils and to this day it remains one of my first loves. Early on I switched to watercolours and of late I’ve worked with acrylics, pushing myself into the challenging world of abstraction and impressionism.
I’m equally attracted to abstract and realism: one seems to balance the other on a creative level. My favourite subjects are landscapes and floral.
I teach painting to individuals as well as groups and have been commissioned to paint for clients across Canada, the USA, and Europe. I’ve organised many public and private painting events and enjoy nothing more than sharing my love of art with others.

Two years ago I registered for an art class with Arlene Enns, and with her very artistic knowledge and instruction I have learned and enjoyed many art forms. Arlene's work is displayed and sold at many art shows in and around our City and my friend purchased a lovely piece of her art.

Having your artwork in my treatment room would remind me to keep looking forward. I had so many people compliment that piece! It’s still one of my favourites!

Beautiful art in multiple media. We enjoyed the experience and came home with a wonderful piece.

You have shared your knowledge, guided me, inspired me, encouraged me, and made me challenge myself. Thank you

Arlene was gracious in sharing a gorgeous piece of her artwork reflecting the natural environment surrounding our home. We proudly showcase her art in our living room for our friends and family to admire. Arlene and her husband John have been valued guests and friends of our Lee River Bed and Breakfast, lac du Bonnet , Manitoba

Unbelievably realistic

We've all been inspired by watching artists ply their craft on Youtube videos but they in no way compare to hands on, face to face teaching from a talented, free spirited, fearlessly experimental artist like Arlene Enns. Arlene's art is imaginative and awe inspiring. We see our imaginations reflected in her art.

I was lucky enough to purchase a picture from Arlene which I do have hanging in my home. Attending her Art classes was very informative besides entertaining. She will explain as well as demonstrate questions regarding mixing paint, brushes ,perspectives etc to use . It amazes me that in 1 hour she can paint the most beautiful picture.
